Welcome to The Fort Worth Scene. You may be wondering why there’s an entire blog (and netcast eventually) dedicated solely to Fort Worth. Well, the answer to that is simple: I and many of my friends and a lot of the people I run into feel that Fort Worth gets the short end of the stick when it comes to coverage in national and sometimes also local media outlets. Despite our world-class museums, first-tier zoo, outstanding local music scene, top-notch restaurants, local sports, and so many other things, that place to the east of here consistently gets more attention. I’m sure there are some nice things about that place, but it’s time that Fort Worth (and Fort Worthians) stood up for equal treatment and respect and started showing people that our city is something to be proud of!
