I suppose you're right, Bret. We touch on this a bit during the podcast, and you're right on every count.

I've been trying to be diplomatic, but I really do think this goes to a greater question of character for someone to do this kind of thing.

I doubt that any of the other candidates would make the same promise that Bernie has because they know they can't keep it.

I can deal with milquetoast responses during a campaign, but if his reaction to his missteps so far and his continued NON-stances on issues is any indication, electing Joel Burns would be a milquetoast-fest of epic proportions on the City Council. That's exactly the opposite of what we need with the current Oil-Man in Chief in city hall.

I'm not willing to accept the bulk editing excuse. How many domains must a person own to NOT notice when they're redirecting someone else's name to their own web site? I've registered hundreds of domain names, and I've never accidentally redirected someone's name to my site or one of my clients' sites (actually, even with hundreds of domain names under management, I've never been presented with or used a bulk-editing function for DNS information). I guess that's because I've never registered another individual's name. I guess that's because there is never an ethical reason to purchase someone else's name as a domain. Sorry for the venom tonight - I guess I'm just really disgusted by this whole mess. And, to be honest, I don't have a lot of faith that any of the candidates are going to follow Bernie's lead with respect to running a clean campaign. This weekend was a tough one for news - with Mistletoe Heights finalizing the details of an Urban Gas Drilling contract and with this milktoast response from Joel Burns about the URL business. Whatever. Tomorrow is a new day.
