The Star-Telegram Gets It Wrong Again!
I’ve gotten word that a District 9 resident who wrote a letter to the Star-Telegram got the call we all like, one telling her that her letter would be run in the paper. Unfortunately, they also told her that in the interests of “space,” her references to Bernie Scheffler would be removed from the letter when it is published.
I’d like to see a copy of the original letter (I’ve already asked Bernie to have her forward it to me), and I’ll be happy to post it alongside whatever the S-T finally runs.
I don’t usually respond to blogs, but can’t let this one go. The S-T has for many years discriminated against letter-writers who disagree with their opinion — I’m one who can’t even get a note in edgewise.
So, I think you should stop and smell the roses now, because you won’t find that sort of wonderful fragrance in the S-T.
