Looking For Something More Fuel-Efficient Than Your Truck?
How about a 2006 Honda Accord coupe? It’s the V6 model, so it’s got plenty of get-up-and-go, but it’s also a 6-speed, so you can better control the engine speed and take advantage of short-shifting techniques to maximize fuel economy.
This is the top of the line (nearly $30k new) EX model with leather and navigation. It’s got 42,000 miles on it, the bulk of which were acquired through trips to San Francisco, Denton, East Texas, and Austin. In other words, mostly highway miles. Otherwise, it’s been Jenna’s “around town” car for the most part.
With the navigation system you also get a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, XM tuner (subscription required), automatic AC, power windows and locks, keyless entry, power driver’s seat, sunroof, etc. It’s really a nice car, but we just don’t need it anymore thanks to my new, 1.4 mile commute.
