Thanks for dismissing me as a “kool-aid drinker” without knowing a thing about me. That’s pretty awesome. I’m particularly glad you took the time to ask me about why I support Obama and why I think his candidacy and eventual election will be good for the country before you dismissed my statements as irrelevant. You’re a shining example of the excellent tradition of rhetoric coming out of our public schools and in our national discourse.

FL and MI screwed themselves out of a fair representation in the vote counts. How fair would it have been to count Michigan’s vote WITHOUT Obama on the ticket? But you don’t care about fairness — you’re just using the word to attract sympathy which you can then use to push your agenda. That’s pretty clear in your statement “…when the [sic] screwed FL and MI out of the votes for Clinton.” You don’t care about all of the other voters in Florida and Michigan, just the ones who voted for Clinton, just like SHE didn’t care about the voters in Michigan who were effectively disenfranchised because they couldn’t vote for Obama.

I’d also appreciate it if you’d give examples of WHY Obama and his wife are “dirty” as you call them. But you won’t, because you’ll probably never come back to this site again. You did your drive-by and that’s enough for you.

I’m surprised that you think Hillary will run again in 4 years, particularly considering the public opinion beating she got this time. She’s smarter than that; she’ll lick her wounds and go back to the Senate, just like Kerry has done, and she’ll be a damn fine Senator for her constituents.

Wow, what a bunch if idiots! If obama wins, I think our country will be lost forever! obama and the DNC lost me when the screwed FL and MI out of the votes for Clinton. I will not vote for a democrat for a long time. Atleast not till Hillary runs again in 4 years. As far as obama goes, He id dirty, his wife is dirty, and I hope it all comes out before it’s too late for you blind kool-aid drinkers to change your minds too!

We have just begun taking a closer look at cowtown chronicles and find the threaded discussion both robust and fun to say the least. We have been supporters of Obama from the minute he announced his campaign. Why? The man is genuine and he’s embarking on a mission to re-weave the fabric of destruction caused by the present administration. Many of you have made salient and thoughtful points in this particular discussion but for anyone to even court the notion that Joseph Lieberman would be a good candidate for anything must be off your rocker. When we saw him several months ago in Iraq, hanging all over John McCain like a drunken prom queen debutante , we thought , "this is sick". (That was the press conference where Lieberman was whispering (correcting) to McCain on the proper nature/names and various factions in conflict in Iraq. I have no doubt Obama will repair the damage done worldwide by this greedy, racist , fraudulent administration. Unfortunately the damage is so massive and widespread, he has the wisdom to know it’s gonna take everyone to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. He is real and genuine. (By the way many many Republican delegates know this and know he is not beholden to the greedy, racist, fraudulent lobby, that is why they have come out publicly to endorse him). I doubt very seriously one will find a marketing spin machine formulating and churning out his plans and programs.

Beyond that, of the three candidates, Obama is the only one who uses the word “we.”

WE will fix healthcare.

WE will bring the troops home.

WE will make the United States the country we all know it can and should be.

The other two didn’t seem to get beyond “I”.

Of the three, Obama has gotten more people involved and engaged to CHANGE THEIR GOVERN… wait… you’re talking about something being wrong in MY life?

Who the fuck are you? Do I know you? Have we met? What do you know of MY life? How have you come to the conclusion that I expect the government to fix anything that might be wrong in my life?

If you’re a typical neo-con who assumes that all Democrats want the government to wipe their noses and tuck them into bed, you’re barking up the wrong tree in this case, nutjob.

With regards to my sense of process; I volunteered to be elected as a delegate to both the Senatorial and State conventions. What part of the process did you participate in?

As for Lieberman, I can’t think of a LESS reasonable candidate, particularly for the Democrats. IMO, he’s more dedicated to the best interests of the Jewish lobby and state of Israel than he is to the United States. He’s proven that by his CONSTANT saber-rattling toward Iran - a conflict that we can’t afford to get into by any definition of the word “afford.”

I like Joe Biden, though. He’d make a great Vice President, and once the country gets to know him, a solid President.

I’m not sure what part of the post you think is delusional, Jeanne. It seems to me to be a passionate plea to those that would vote (or not vote) due to some sense of revenge or payback. You don’t have to be a Democrat to see that the logical next choice for a Clinton supporter is NOT McCain. Clinton’s supporters feel very strongly about their issues (as they should) and it seems obvious to me that Obama is always going to be closer to the mark on those issues than McCain will ever be. I agree with Pete’s assesment that both Clintons would be dissapointed to see the system break down in a way that allowed McCain to prevail in November dispite all the hard work throughout their lives, not just in this campain.
I’ve just re-read your response and I don’t understand what you are so angry about. You throw out some very personal insults yet are non specific as to what has angered you. Did this hit a nerve? Are you wondering what to do with yourself if you calm down and think rationally? It’s good to be committed and passionate, but without direction, you are just wasting your energy. Focus that passion into electing someone you can believe in (or at least find some common ground with), not just a revenge vote.

Oooookaaaay….calm down there Jeanne, and use grammar check. I’m not really sure where she’s coming from, but your post was well supported and I completely agree with you. Hill and Bill are two extremely brilliant individuals. No one can deny their level of education or smarts, which is exactly why they will support Obama. Because above all else, we (meaning all non-Republicans) cannot continue to allow the Republicans to alienate the US from the rest of the world, to mention only ONE aspect of Bush’s failed presidency. Hell, most of Bush’s cabinet have bailed out. I did vote for Hillary in the primary, based widely on her stance on the war and education. I worried that Barack was too green, and that the smaller issues that concern me would be overlooked by his campaign. However, there is no denying at this point that he, too, is a brilliant individual who is passionate about working FOR us, not for oil or his own personal fame. (I don’t feel that McCain is either, but I know that Bush’s people will transfer their sticky fingers onto him, and we can’t have it.) I have read and I have listened…there is no reason for Hillary supporters to deny helping to unify this party and support Obama. How Jeanne could argue that Obama isn’t inspirational or lacks ideas proves that she hasn’t done her homework. I believe we will have the last word in November.

Screw the media’s opinion and people like you. You have no sense of process you pinhead. You need to expand your realm of reasoning and thought. Dems are going to continue to lose velections until they get reasonable candidates like Biden or Lieberman. I have no party affiliation; I pick candidates on their dedicated ideas. Obama is “inspirational” give me a break. There is something wrong in your life and the government isn’t ever going to fix it…you. personally have to fix it.
