Fritz,
I’m sorry I said what I did during Podcast Episode 9. Literally the day after we recorded that show, I ran into Mark and Jamie downtown and they clued me in to what was going on with the pricing. I should have known that you can’t control the price at retail, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that some retailers would take advantage of your success and quality product by marking it up beyond all reason. I still highly recommend your beers when I’m out with friends or encounter someone who needs guidance while at the store.
Pete
PS: The Oktoberfest has really grown on me, as well! I like that it’s more balanced than what we typically get, and while I am still a die-hard fan of malty beers, your Oktoberfest is an excellent alternative to those overly sweet offerings from other folks. I can’t wait for Winter Warmer!

The 12th installment of the best damn Fort Worth podcast, period.
This week:
Bernie will be participating in another forum, this one hosted by the 10 neighborhood associations in the district. (I’ll add a link as soon as I get one.)
Kevin goes off on light rail for a little while. I agree with him 100%. It really is that important, people.
We welcome a new voice, Pete Geniella.
We tease the Lone Star International Film Festival, coming in November. (Bernie really wants Rod Roddy to come host, even though he’s dead.)
Also, stay tuned for BIG NEWS next week sometime. Can’t tell you what it is yet, but it’s BIG, I promise!

This week:Light Rail in Fort Worth may be here sooner than you think.Steve does his research before he posts something. (I tend toward blatant lies and misrepresentation, myself…)We are ALL tired of “URLgate.”The Cowtown rugby tournament was a great time, and I’d like to get some of that “RealGrass™” for my OWN lawn. Beerfest was memorable for me this year. (As in I can actually remember it!)

Okay, you’ll notice a few new things around here starting today. First, there’s obviously the new layout. I decided that the old one had gotten kind of stale, so I switched to a new theme.
Second, I’ve subscribed to FeedBurner for all of the site feeds, including the podcast. You can still subscribe to the podcast in iTunes (and I highly recommend you do), but you can also subscribe directly in whatever podcatching client you choose.
Lastly, I had to kill the embedded player for the podcasts. I don’t know why, but it just stopped working, and unfortunately it stopped at the worst possible time for us. I had to scramble to find a new way to provide the content, and I think the combination of embedding it in the post (so you can listen in your browser) and using FeedBurner/iTunes for the podcast will do the trick.
PLEASE let me know if anything you really liked is broken now. I tried to change as little as possible with how the site actually functions while changing as much as possible to make it work better.
Thanks for reading and listening, we’re glad to have you!

The 9th installment of our venerable podcast, this time with special guests our significant others and a round-robin discussion of the topics of the week.
I have no idea why I said that it was episode 10, when I can clearly see that it’s the ninth show I/we’ve put out. I also said that the Cultural District was east of downtown when everyone here knows it’s WEST of downtown. I guess I’m just excited to have everyone there and that we’re keeping this up regularly.

You may have noticed that I’ve put a button on the right that says “Call Me!”. Please feel free to do just that. The call will go directly to voicemail, but I’d love it if you left a message with a tip or a topic for the next podcast. Fair warning: if you leave a question or comment for or about the podcast, you just might wind up IN it!

Slightly shorter show this week. Steve-o couldn’t be here, so it’s just me and Bernie. Good discussion of the latest city council meeting, our shared disdain for inappropriately sized infill housing, and a few other tidbits.

This week on the Cowtown Chronicles podcast - Experiments in gonzo journalism in podcast form. Special guests Kevin Buchanan from Fort Worthology, and Bernie Scheffler, candidate for Fort Worth City Council for District 9.
Our main topic today is light rail and other transit options, with some fun sidetracks into my lack of focus and clarity after a late night of poker and drinking.
Hope you like it, and we’ll see you next week!
