Check out Allen over at The Whited Sepulchre. I haven’t had the time to spend debating him (actually, he and I agree on more than we disagree on, methinks, but he draws some CRAZY-ass commenters) in the comments, but I do still read it when I have time.

Gotta read all angles, even if Allen is bitter and distrustful of our political leadership. (I kid!)

Drinking Liberally’s email system is broken AGAIN, so this is the only other outlet I have for disseminating this information. When it comes back up, I’m going to create my own mailing list so that I no longer have to rely on theirs. For those of you who’ve never been or can’t remember, Drinking Liberally meets on the LAST Thursday of the month at 6:30PM. We’ve been meeting at Buffalo Bros. on University — a location that provides food options, beer and wine, and most importantly, NO SMOKING.

I have just confirmed that the Democratic candidate for State Senate District 10, Wendy Davis, will be attending our meeting!

Wendy is a former Fort Worth city councilmember, and is running against a 20-year incumbent in a very tight race.

Please tell your friends that this is their chance to meet and ask questions of Wendy in a VERY informal and intimate setting. I hope all of you can make it, and try to bring a friend or two as well!
