Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl — With Special Guest!
Yep, that’s General David Petraeus (captured via iPhone on my TV) right here in Fort Worth. Sorry you missed the game now?

Finally proving that they’re one of the most under-rated teams in the country, and are deserving of BCS membership, the TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Boise State Broncos last night 17-16 in what will likely be one of the best bowl games this year.
“Epic” is a word that’s thrown around too much in sports, particularly in football, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this game was epic, much like the TCU/Utah game. Except this time the finish came out as it should have.
Hey Jerry Jones! You want a great college game for your new stadium next year? How about TCU vs. Utah again? Or a TCU vs. Oklahoma rematch? It’s pretty douchebaggy that you would completely turn your back on the state that’s given you so much by not even hosting Texas teams for the first college game in your new stadium in freakin’ TEXAS, particularly when there are so many good programs to choose from here.
Join me tonight at the Flying Saucer (Now with 100% less smoke!) for the BCS Championship Bowl Game at 7 PM. If the big screen TV is broken, or if can’t get a seat at the bar, we’ll move to a bar to be named later. I’ll try to update this post with details if you’re interested in following.
UPDATE 4:30PM: I just called the Saucer (they have a phone, who knew!?) and the TV is STILL broken. Seriously, guys, get a plasma already…
Anyway, let’s move the party to ummmm… Baker St. Pub on Camp Bowie. Looks like they have decent drink specials, and you un-Americans what don’t drink beer can get a girly drink there.
Look for the big bald guy in a red hooded sweatshirt. (I don’t have any Buckeyes gear at the moment.)
