FedEx’s Favorite Customer of the Day: Chesapeake Energy

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

I just got ANOTHER offer from Four Sevens on behalf of Chesapeake for my mineral rights. (I shredded the first one after seeing all the ways in which it was worse than XTO’s offer.) This offer came via FedEx, I suppose because it’s getting so close to the signing parties for the two neighborhoods which just struck deals with XTO.

I wonder if they’re offering a similar deal ($12,500 signing bonus, 25% royalties, no fees besides taxes, 3 year term) to Mistletoe Heights or Berkeley homeowners, particularly since the well site Chesapeake has is the 8th Avenue site that pretty much EVERYONE thinks is a bad idea.

I wonder if we could get them to drop the Trinity Trees site if the whole neighborhood decided to go with their offer instead of XTO’s.

This Barnett Shale thing just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser.

Nothing to See Here, Move Along…

There was a bit of stress today among the folks who have been following the “Trinity Trees” situation. Word got out mid-day today that Chesapeake was starting to bulldoze trees on the well site. As it turns out, what they were really doing was planting the new trees that will act as the barrier around the actual pad site.

I can’t help but think that if only they would stop at the point they’re at now, they’d ACTUALLY be doing Fort Worth a “World of Good.”DSCN1107.JPG

One of the “Proposed Future Trees” next to an existing tree which may or may not be bulldozed.

Just landscapers doing a job… You can’t blame the guys who are doing the work, only the guys who paid to have them out there.

The grass around the new trees was torn up in several places because of the equipment used to haul in the new trees. I have no idea what the TV is there for.

This week:Light Rail in Fort Worth may be here sooner than you think.Steve does his research before he posts something. (I tend toward blatant lies and misrepresentation, myself…)We are ALL tired of “URLgate.”The Cowtown rugby tournament was a great time, and I’d like to get some of that “RealGrass™” for my OWN lawn. Beerfest was memorable for me this year. (As in I can actually remember it!)
