Welcome Roughly Drafted Guests!

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

If you followed the trackback link from Roughly Drafted and wound up at this blog that seems to be about Fort Worth, it’s okay, you’re in the right place.

This is my personal blog, where I write about things I’m interested in, like politics, personal finance, Macs, and sustainability.

I also co-write a blog focused exclusively on Fort Worth called West and Clear.

Most recently, I’ve started focusing on building a Macintosh-centered consulting business for small and medium businesses in North Texas.

If you’re looking for help with your all-Mac network, are considering a switch to Mac for your business, or have a group of Macs that have never quite fit in with your Windows network, I can help you find the best way to achieve your goals. For more about my experience and how to contact me, check out the “Hire Pete!” page.

Oh, The Humanities!

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

As I’m sure you might have noticed, there hasn’t been a lot of activity around here lately. No, I haven’t quit, nor have I focused ALL of my attention on my OTHER project. (Okay, maybe I’ve focused an unusually large amount of attention on it.)

What’s been happening is that I’m totally slammed at work, and in keeping up with school. Yes, I work full-time, attend school nearly full-time, and am trying to launch a full-featured and active blog, all at the same time.

“How do you do it all?” you ask?

Well, honestly, I don’t. I completely spaced out a week ago and didn’t take a test for an online class that I should have. I’m failing tests in my Philosophy class (failing tests is a new experience for me). When I’m at work I’m thinking about West and Clear, and when I’m at home I’m thinking about work. You’ll notice that none of the things that I’ve listed are Cowtown Chronicles.

The semester is winding down, and my workload is increasing, but I should hopefully be able to better manage things here in a couple of weeks. Please don’t give up on me, and if you’re not already, hop on over to West and Clear for some timely and topical infotainment.

A New Voice for Fort Worth

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been working with some of the other extremely talented bloggers in Fort Worth to set up a joint effort site, one that covers the City from nearly every possible angle, but keeps the flexibility and humor that you’re used to from reading our individual blogs.

I’m VERY happy to announce:

WestandClear.com

Over the last year of doing this, I’ve realized that I wasn’t going to be able to cover everything myself, both because of a lack of time, but also because I just can’t possibly be as informed or talented as a group of people would be. West and Clear is the answer to that. Please, go check it out, add it to your favorites, and be sure to come back and visit often!

Cowtown Chronicles isn’t going anywhere, I’m just going to transition it to more of a personal/opinion blog. The podcast, however, WILL be moving over to westandclear.com. I just don’t have the creative juice to produce and record two separate podcasts every week without them being repetitive and boring. I’ll try to make it as easy as possible for everyone to transition to the new podcast feed.
